Opportunity Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the main customer sites at Fawley as a Shift Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the site.

You will work closely with our Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to optimize production efficiency at Fawley.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all plant and machinery operate efficiently and safely according to BOC standards and statutory regulations.
  • Manage Permits to Work, oversee contractors, review method statements and risk assessments.
  • Implement preventative measures and respond to emergencies or abnormal conditions.
  • Review daily shift and production reports, suggest improvements.
  • Inspect and diagnose faults in plant and machinery, provide feedback, and raise work orders.
  • Work on a shift basis with some flexibility, with opportunities for learning and development.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or process fields with relevant experience.
  • Experience in refining, petrochemicals, or gases industries is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Curious with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Organized, pragmatic, proactive planning skills.
