Senior Design Engineer

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to work for a leading and innovative engineering company based in Southampton.

Introduction

The primary role of the Senior Design Engineer will be to lead design and analysis, delivering qualified design solutions on client-based development programs.

Responsibilities :

Lead design and analysis
Deliver design solutions to customer requirements
Develop new product designs
Design test rigs
Utilize SolidWorks and HyperWorks

Ideal Experience :

Ideally 5+ years of industrial experience in a mechanical design role

3D CAD experience, preferably with SolidWorks

FEA systems experience, preferably with HyperWorks

Experience in project delivery within design and / or analysis roles

Stress analysis experience is advantageous

Ability to perform fundamental engineering calculations

Excellent problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills

Proficient in MS Office products, including MS Project

Experience with composites is a plus

Additional Details :

Hours : Day shift with flexible start and finish times

Salary : £50,000 - £55,000

Benefits : Pension, Healthcare Scheme, Flexible start and finish times
