Complex Care Registered Nurse

Right at Home Camden, Hampstead & Golders Green

Location : Office & field based

Salary : £36,000 - £40,000

Hours per week : 40 Hours Per Week but part-time also available.

Time will be spent traveling throughout company territory and office based.

Right at Home Camden, Hampstead & Golders Green are looking for Registered Nurse to join their award-winning homecare business to help set up their Complex Care division. The role will primarily involve training and educating CareGivers, creating training modules, developing client support plans and undertaking client care plans and risk assessments.

As a Registered Nurse for Right at Home you will play an integral part in leading and managing the complex care part of the business. You must be extremely personable as you will be working with the entire team to make sure all our valued Clients needs are met. This role is extremely fast paced and requires someone truly dedicated and able to remain positive and professional when working under pressure.

There are no shifts, weekends or unsociable hours. You do not have to work bank holidays and you will get Christmas at home with your family. You can even have your birthday off!

Start time will be 09 : 00 and finish time 17 : 00 Monday to Friday – Fulltime or Part time available.

Main duties and responsibilities include :

To promote the highest standards of Nursing care within a domiciliary / homecare setting

  • To supervise and support CareGivers where appropriate through effective leadership

To ensure training needs of all staff are met effectively –identify any training needs through spot checks, supervisions, discussion, and provide guidance for on-going training needs.

  • Develop and update clients’ Care Plans according to NMC standards and company guidelines
  • Maintain ongoing client compliance, by undertaking care plan and risk assessment reviews for Complex Care packages

    Ensure all services are compliant with legislations, CQC standards and regulations

    Monitor and assess Complex Care clients for customer satisfaction.

    To participate in the growth and development of the business, achieving targets and delivery within budgets

    Ensure outstanding compliance across the business and to support the business in achieving a minimum of “Good” in CQC inspections

    Continually review and improve processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is being delivered

    Act on own initiative and exercise decision making skills, as far as possible and wherever appropriate

    Building relationships with the clients and families to ensure we deliver personalised care

    Requirements of a Registered Nurse

    An experienced and actively Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin Number and a minimum of 5 years’ experience

  • Clinical Lead experience is essential
  • Experience of working with elderly people

  • Experience of working within the community and / or primary care
  • Experience of teaching and training others
  • Ability to create training modules / materials
  • Good and up-to-date knowledge and clinical skills in essential nurse care / delegated tasks including Urinary catheter Care, Bowel Stoma Care, Gastrostomy Care, Tracheostomy Care and Wound Care
  • The ability to adapt those skills and that knowledge to deliver training and support to Care Workers in the domiciliary / home care setting
  • Strong oral and written communication skills especially report writing, creating training materials and support / care plans
  • Extremely well organised, excellent planning and prioritising ability with high attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships
  • You ideally hold a valid driving licence and access to a reliable car
