About the Role

A leading UK Challenger Bank is seeking a skilled Relationship Manager to oversee a portfolio of Commercial Finance clients with lending requirements up to £1M in the North West. This role focuses on client relationship management, risk assessment, and revenue maximisation, ensuring high-quality service delivery while maintaining a robust financial structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients within the commercial finance sector.
  • Maximise client longevity by ensuring excellent service and implementing additional solutions where appropriate.
  • Optimise income through accurate fee maintenance and additional service offerings.
  • Conduct annual and ad-hoc client reviews, adjusting facility structures where needed.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory governance and risk management policies.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in managing a portfolio within Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Invoice Finance or Asset Finance within a client-facing role.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients (from individual to board level) and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to interpret and analyse financial information accurately.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently to minimize attrition.
  • Valid UK driver’s license.
