People Development SpecialistSalary £34,562Location Didsbury, ManchesterPermanent, Full TimeThe People Development Specialist will join a well-established People Development team and report to the People Development Business Partner. You will be responsible for helping Great Places embed a colleague led learning culture where continuous development is prioritised at all levels. Supporting the delivery of development initiatives and activities through our Academy of Greatness, you will work closely with business areas to ensure all colleagues have access to a wide range of relevant and high-quality learning opportunities to enhance personal and organisational effectiveness. The People Development Specialist will support the identification, scheduling and management of both role-specific and core development requirements and learning compliance.What you’ll be doingCollaborating proactively with various business areas, to deliver tailored learning solutions that meet the current and future needs of the teams we support.Designing and delivering high quality, impactful and engaging learning initiatives for face-to-face, blended, or online delivery.Contributing to the delivery & development of a proactive and high-quality People Development advisory service to managers and colleagues.Supporting learning needs analysis, helping to identify additional learning requirements to add to our Academy of Greatness offer.Managing the legislative and corporate training compliance for our colleagues.Supporting business areas to establish and embed role-specific learning plans.Developing positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external training providers.Exploring and approving any relevant training requests, managing the approval of educational sponsorship agreements and ensuring a value for money approach in sourcing external training providers.Helping to embed the wider Academy of Greatness through the delivery of broader learning programmes and workshops tailored to the needs of the wider organisation.Actively supporting the wider People Team on any other OD initiatives and projectsCo-designing and delivering short flexible masterclasses open to all colleagues.Providing career type conversations with colleagues and managers around growth and development opportunitiesPotentially, although not primarily supporting the design and development of a digital learning delivered through The Study learning platform.EssentialCIPD Qualified – Level 3 and above or alternative L&D certification or equivalent experienceGCSE grade C or equivalent in English and MathsDesirableCoaching certificate or qualificationPeople management experienceWhat we need from youA commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work.
