Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client a leading food manufacturer in their search for a Continuous improvement Engineer to work in their leading facility in Shropshire.

For the successful Continuous improvement Engineer our client is offering

  • Salary from £50,000 to £55,000 per annum DOE
  • Monday-Friday 7AM- 4PM, (must be flexible, at times to shifts changing to suit the team)

The Role - Continuous improvement Engineer :

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, CMMS systems, and maintenance best practices (SPIDEX / Mainsaver).
  • Develop and execute cost-effective maintenance programs to meet safety, quality, and performance demands.
  • Implement key engineering processes in line with the client’s Engineering Road Map.
  • Drive talent development within the department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lead proactive maintenance, production excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse failures and lost production to identify and implement solutions for improved systems and processes.
  • Promote a ‘top loss’ analysis culture and facilitate criticality matrix reviews.
  • Drive implementation of the Inventory Management Plan and development of SOPs.
  • Utilize root cause analysis / problem-solving techniques (RCA, 5Y, DMAIC) to address issues.
  • What our client is looking for in a Health & Safety Supervisor :

  • Must have worked in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment- PREFFERED
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC / HNC Or equivalent in either Mechanical or electrical disciplines or Degree trained- ESSENTIAL
  • Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and technical staff to trouble shoot and eliminate root cause issues of nonconformities- DESIRABLE
  • Experience planning engineering requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with area staff and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines
  • Experience within a Maintenance environment- ESSENTIAL
  • Strong ability to make logical decisions
  • Must be willing to cross over shifts with the team where necessary
