Payroll Officer (Remote), Watford

Berry Recruitment are currently seeking a Payroll Officer for our client based in Watford. As a Payroll Officer, you will be contributing to the accurate processing of their monthly payroll and ensuring the financial operations are running smoothly.

Pay rate of the Payroll Officer : £14.03 per hour

Working hours of the Payroll Officer : Monday – Friday (9am-5pm). This is a remote-based position. On the rare occasion, you would be required to travel to their Head Office based in Watford.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the payroll database for accurate salary processing and statutory updates.
• Process statutory payments, deductions, and ensure pension contribution accuracy.
• Communicate professionally with internal / external stakeholders, maintaining audit trails.
• Apply internal controls, resolve over-payment incidents, and ensure TUPE adherence.
• Participate in HR testing, handle non-standard payments, and assist in reconciliation routines.
