Job description

The Role

As a Deputy General Manager , you will be overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Control operational costs and manage budgets proactively.
  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
  • Ensure accurate stock control and resource planning.
  • Empower staff to anticipate and fulfil guest needs autonomously.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to maintain high service standards.
  • Maintain effective communication through regular team meetings.
  • Support organisational initiatives and uphold service excellence.
  • Stay informed of and communicate hotel updates and changes.
  • Optimise staff rotas to meet wage percentage targets.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to optimise food and beverage operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and HR procedures.

Requirements :

  • Previously worked as a Food & Beverage Manager in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation (Food Safety, Health & Safety, Liquor Licensing).
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Skilled in IT systems; knowledge of Rezlynx would be beneficial.
