Duties :
Please Note This Apprenticeship will start in September 2025Throughout the program you will develop a diverse skill set that will empower you to make a meaningful difference in students lives.
Some of the key responsibilities and accountabilities youll undertake :
Engage with students as you oversee classroom activities ensuring a productive and inclusive learning environmentYoull also accompany pupils on educational visits and extracurricular activities such as swimming and independence skills training programsWork closely with teachers speech and language therapists and other specialist staff to assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs fostering each students unique learning journeyProvide compassionate support to identified pupils who may require assistance with daily care tasks such as dressing and toileting ensuring their comfort and confidence in the school settingLearn effective classroom management and behaviour techniques that will enable you to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all studentsGain experience in planning and delivering engaging learning activities while providing valuable feedback to teachers about the educational emotional and physical needs of students to assist in their assessmentsCollaborate with teachers and support staff to enhance classroom activities and ensure a cohesive learning experience for all pupilsHelp maintain a healthy safe and secure environment for students both inside and outside the classroom while adhering to school policies and proceduresAssist with clerical and administrative tasks such as photocopying and preparing learning resources to keep the classroom running smoothlySkills
