Job description

Role : Engineering Tech Lead

Salary : Up to £110k

Description : As an Engineering Tech Lead, you'll be a hands-on contributor and team leader, collaborating closely with Product and Design on diverse product challenges. Your responsibilities include :

  • Addressing various complex problems such as multi-user live editing support and efficient data storage for structured document history review.
  • Leading by example through hands-on coding to maintain a high-quality, readable codebase.
  • Guiding a team of 3 to 4 engineers, ensuring best-in-class delivery standards and fostering technical growth.
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Manager to shape team processes and automate quality into all aspects of our work.
  • Assisting other developers in task delivery and personal development while embodying our team culture.

Requirements :

  • Experience leading full-stack projects with a preference for frontend expertise (React) alongside backend skills (Modern Java).
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS with a focus on code architecture.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to address business and product challenges.
  • Engineering mindset with a strong product focus and willingness to learn backend development.
  • Familiarity with building interactive SPAs and handling complex data structures.
