Statistical Analyst

Manchester

30,000 - £40,000 + bonus

An opportunity to join the modelling and analytics team of a growing consultancy in Manchester. The modelling team creates complex simulation models of systems and reports those back to clients.

They’re looking for a Statistical Data Analyst to join the team and undertake simulation modelling, development, analysis, and presentation to measure the performance and results of national and local consultancy projects.

The Role

Analysis of large client data sets to discover hidden insights;
Creating complex simulation models of healthcare systems to help clients understand their patient flow, capacity, and pinch-points;
Performing statistical tests to evaluate the impacts of high-profile, national initiatives;
Using R or similar to create engaging data visualisations;
Presentation of work to large, varied, and often senior groups of stakeholders;
Production of high-quality analytical reports;
Development of in-house simulation modelling software.

Candidate Profile

Strong academic background in a numeric discipline;

Advanced Excel;

Knowledge of SAS, SPSS, or SQL;

1-2 years plus experience in data analysis;

Use of R, Python, or other similar technology - desirable;

Programming experience (VB.net, Python, VBA) – desirable;

Forecasting techniques and time series analysis - desirable.
