Location : Remote

Working Pattern : Part-time (4 days per week)

PQE Requirement : 3+ years

Our Client

Our client are a global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in animal health. With operations across multiple countries, they partner with pharmaceutical companies to develop and produce high-quality animal health products.

The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join in a part-time capacity, providing legal expertise across a range of business functions. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (based in London), the successful candidate will take an autonomous and flexible approach in delivering legal support to our CDMO business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple jurisdictions and provide strategic legal guidance in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for CDMO customer agreements, major supplier contracts, intellectual property / licensing matters, data protection, and other relevant legal areas.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in setting internal governance policies and risk management systems.
  • Proactively identify legal issues and estimate potential risks to the business.
  • Oversee legal risk management concerning customer relationships and the supply chain.
  • Ensure timely, commercial, and cost-effective negotiation and conclusion of legal agreements with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracts, IP, and data protection.
  • Previous experience in a CDMO, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
  • Experience managing external counsel and legal budgets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
