About The Role

Job Title : Design Co-ordinator

Location : London / Southern England

Division : Building Division

Overview :

GRAHAM Construction is seeking a proactive Design Coordinator to join our Building Division. This junior role is ideal for candidates with a degree in Architecture or Construction Management and some experience in design coordination. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth coordination of design activities across our projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design Coordination :
  • Coordinate design activities between architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all design work is aligned with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Assist in managing the flow of design information and maintaining communication among all parties involved.
  • Documentation Management :
  • Oversee the organization and distribution of project documentation.
  • Ensure that all design documents are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible to the project team.
  • Quality Control :
  • Conduct reviews of design documents to ensure quality and compliance with project standards.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving design-related issues.
  • Project Support :
  • Provide support during the tender process by coordinating the preparation of design documentation.
  • Assist in the development of design briefs and specifications.
  • Site Coordination :
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor the implementation of design solutions.
  • Coordinate with the site team to address any design-related queries or issues.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
  • Some experience in design coordination or a related role.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
