The National Private Assurance - Trusts & Estates team looks after all tax aspects of c750 UK and offshore trust and estate clients.

A look into the role

As a Associate Director within our team, you will :

  • have experience of managing clients with a key skill of reviewing complex trust tax returns and accounts prepared by the team.
  • They will optimise delivery from the team resource and be capable of managing their own time, and help team members to meet deadlines.
  • They will be expected to delegate to and develop junior members of the team.
  • In addition there is opportunity to take responsibility for running the compliance process which will involve improving processes and implementing Grant Thornton's digital agenda.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a Associate Director within the Trusts team, the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience in managing and advising on Trusts. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Experience of managing and advising estates is an advantage but not a necessity. They will also be expected to have experience of IHT reporting.
  • We have ambitious growth plans and so we are also looking for the right individual to grow the advisory part of the business. Advisory experience is an advantage but not a necessity as support will be given.
  • There will also be the opportunity to get involved in the wider Private tax practice
