We have a new opportunity for a Principal Verifier in Drama. Ideally, applicants will have experience in the quality assurance model for verification and currently deliver a range of Drama qualifications. The post will be for session 2024 / 25.

A Principal Verifier is responsible for communicating and maintaining national standards for the units within their remit. Additionally, the Principal Verifier must ensure that all tasks associated with the quality assurance of internal assessments are carried out within the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA.

The primary role is to manage team members, in the delivery of external quality assurance for Drama units to ensure that standards are maintained. This is essentially carried out during verification activity, typically during February and May.

The Principal Verifier will normally require up to 5 days release in the full contract period and will also be required to undertake duties in their own time.

This role attracts a responsibility fee as well as release compensation as required and a daily rate for duties undertaken in own time.
