Self-Employed Female Personal Assistants

4 to 16.75 hours per week

North Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne

17.00 per hour

Driver with own car essential

The role is very much about supporting me to do things rather than doing things for me.

To assist as an enabler with everyday activities including getting me out when needed.

There are a variety of shifts available, and you are welcome to apply for a combination of shifts to suit the number of hours you are looking for. Hours available will cover 7 days and can be discussed at interview.

About me (the Employer) :

I am a fiercely independent young lady of 87 years. I’m looking for someone to help me maintain independence in my home liaising with my two daughters to determine ongoing enabling. As I’m getting older, everyday tasks are becoming slower and more challenging. Practical assistance is needed for some tasks that require heavy lifting, help me tackle dexterity obstacles, potential meal preparation, prompting of medication, and where needed, getting out and about.

I am looking for someone who has experience of supporting older but ‘young at heart’ individuals. I am looking for someone that I can chat with on topics in common such as cooking, baking, dressmaking, knitting, television soaps and dramas.

This assistance is about helping me and my choices, independent living, dignity and privacy

Your role will be essential to independence in my own home and where needed, getting out and about by car

Post subject to references and DBS check.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male / female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
