Our client are a leading engineering group based in Sheffield that delivers large-scale, safety-critical mechanical handling systems across the nuclear, defence, aerospace, and kinetic architecture sectors.

They’re looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer (Chief) to join their team – a technical leadership role reporting directly into the Engineering Director.

Who we’re looking for :

Chartered Mechanical or Structural Engineer (or capability to achieve this status)

Strong background in design, analysis, manufacture and installation of large mechanical systems (lifting equipment, cranes, novel handling equipment)

Technical Leadership

Confident leading on calculations, risk and governance
