Plant Fitter

URGENT IMMEDIATE START

We are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter with fabrication / welding experience to carry out maintenance and repairs on a busy quarry aggregate site.

Basic knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics is preferred. Basic electric knowledge would be beneficial. Previous lorry or train technician experience would be considered. This will be a physically demanding job in a dusty / dirty environment.

You must have a NVQ level 3 in welding / fabrication plus Loading Shovel and Machine Operator to NVQ level 2.

Person Specification

• A highly motivated individual with drive and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work as part of a 7 day a week operation as required.
• Experienced fitter who is also skilled in welding, cutting and fabricating techniques with tech qualification, NVQ3 or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to plan and implement maintenance schedules and good working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of health and safety including environmental.
• Good organising skills.
• IT literacy and ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work flexibly.

Hours and Work Pattern

40 hrs per week # GBP20 / hr

6 : 30 am - 3pm subject to change. OT available between 3pm - 5pm.

Permanent position will be offered to the right person.
