This rewarding role involves providing support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating a positive learning environment and assisting in the development and progress of children with ASD.
Key Responsibilities :
- Individualized Support : Provide one-on-one support to students with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met and they are fully engaged in classroom activities.
- Classroom Assistance : Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and adapt lesson plans, catering to the diverse needs of students with ASD.
- Behavioural Support : Employ effective strategies to manage and address challenging behaviors, promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Communication : Foster open communication with parents, caregivers, and the school team to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Inclusive Practices : Work closely with the SENCO and other teaching staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports the overall well-being of students with ASD.
- Progress Monitoring : Regularly assess and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Resource Management : Assist in the preparation and organization of resources that support the learning and sensory needs of students with ASD.
Requirements :
Previous experience working with children with ASD in an educational setting.Understanding of ASD and familiarity with effective strategies for supporting children with special educational needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 am to 3 : 30 pm.
