Job Title : Design and Technology Instructor Technician

Location : York

Contract : Temporary (September 2024 – December 2024)

Institution : College in York

We are currently recruiting for a Design and Technology Instructor Technician to join a college in York on a temporary basis from September 2024 to December 2024.

Role Overview :

As a Design and Technology Instructor Technician, you will be supporting the department that teaches students from Years 7 to 13. The subject is optional after Year 9, with students following an OCR GCSE and an AQA A-level course.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical support to teachers and students in the Design and Technology department.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and resources for lessons.
  • Maintain and manage equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in safe working order.
  • Support students in using Autodesk Inventor and Techsoft 2D Design CAD software.

Requirements :

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in Design and Technology.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Techsoft 2D Design CAD software.
  • Ability to work effectively with both teachers and students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
