Town Planner / Planning Consultant job available in Winchester and London locations with a highly regarded and leading architectural practice. Seeking an experienced Town Planner who is looking for a varied and strategic role with a practice that boasts and unrivalled portfolio of projects. Offering a salary of up to £55,000 plus benefits and hybrid flexibility.

Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, including managing the pre-application process and planning notes on land and buildings
- Provide guidance on local and national planning frameworks
- Provide strategic advice on planning framework and law, developing strategies for approval of sensitive projects
- Coordinate the preparation of Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements, and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
- Manage the preparation of supporting documents for development and infrastructure schemes, including Development Consent Orders
- Assist clients with the planning process and provide solutions to overcome planning challenges
- Negotiate with local authorities and key stakeholders
- Provide strategies to internal teams and be a primary point of contact for planning related matters.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of industry experience, private or public sectorProven background working on a variety of projects including historical / listed buildings and sensitive projectsExperience with projects across London and Hampshire, ideally with relationships in both locationsClient-facing experience and strong communication skillsIdeally degree qualified in town planning, urban design, or similarMRTPI / MRICS, preferred but not essential.What you get back
