G4S Patient Transport Services (PTS) is one of the UK’s largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport providers, carrying out over 350,000 journeys on behalf of the NHS every year. With 12 operational bases across the UK and a dedicated call centre, we employ over 720 members of staff to deliver safe, caring, high-quality patient-centric transport.
About the Role
The Learning and Development Officer / Specialist role is a pivotal position in the development of all G4S PTS staff.
This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs covering Inductions, continuing professional development and programs designed to support other areas of the G4S network.
Experts in their field, such as L&D specialists, may sometimes be requested to provide additional support to staff.
As an experienced Learning and Development Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the training delivery meets high-quality standards to ensure we equip our staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide excellent service, safety, and a patient centred approach to service users across the G4S Patient Transport Services contract.

About you
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate previous experience within a Learning and Development environment and willing to work towards achieving a minimum Level 3 in Education and Training, Moving and Handling Trainer qualification, First Aid at Work and Automated External Defibrillator Trainer / Assessor if these are not already held.
It is essential that you are a dynamic and engaging individual who shares our ethics and values to deliver a first class service and is eager to support the Training deliver.
Training by example, with the ability to be resilient, confident with a tenacious can-do attitude. You must have the ability to embrace complexity, be a part of a busy and fast paced environment and be flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios.
