Job description

Re-imagining the way we all buy and sell electricity by bringing us closer together through more direct transactions – a marketplace providing effortless access to true, traceable, renewable energy with increased value for all.

Responsibilities :

  • Multiply Impact : Create an environment where multiple teams (a mix of individual contributors and experts) can do their best work, move quickly, and stay laser-focused on what matters most.
  • Stay Hands-On : Spend ~40% of your time contributing directly—whether optimising workflows, defining incident response plans, implementing DORA metrics, leading tech-focused projects, or hacking together a proof of concept for a better API caching layer. This role is not a hands-on coding position though.
  • Lead People : Own all aspects of the employee journey—from hiring and onboarding to engagement, performance, and growth. You’ll shape team structure and resources while fostering deep trust and accountability.
  • Guide Technical Decisions : Act as a thoughtful sounding board for Experts and Tech Leads on technical direction. Contribute to conversations around tooling, quality standards, and architecture without owning all outcomes yourself.
  • Connect : Keep tem aligned as a remote-first company by sharing context, building strong cross-functional relationships, and representing your teams across Engineering, Product, and the wider organisation.

Requirements :

  • Experienced People Leader : You’ve built, scaled, and coached high-performing engineering teams. You know how to hire great people, grow them, and create a healthy, inclusive culture.
  • Technically Credible : You bring deep experience (ideally in our stack : Python, Node.js, TypeScript, React, AWS with a serverless focus, and DevOps practices). Even if you’re not coding daily, you know what good looks like.
  • Remote-First Leader : Highly effective at leading fully remote teams across time zones. You build trust, maintain clear communication, and keep teams cohesive.
  • Thrives in Scale-up Life : You bring energy, adaptability, and resilience to a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong Communicator and Collaborator : You make thoughtful decisions, communicate clearly, and adapt your style to different audiences.
  • Desirable :

  • Strong DevOps and observability experience
  • Domain knowledge in Energy or FinTech sectors
  • Experience scaling consumer-facing platforms in a product-led environment
  • Application Process :

  • Screening Call (30 mins)
  • Behavioural Interview (60 mins)
  • Skills & Technical Interview (75 mins)
  • Culture-Add Interview (45 mins)
