A bit about what you will do...

The role of Head Pastry Chef at Fairmont Windsor park

is to Supervise day-to-day

activities of the Pastry Kitchen, communicate objectives, and assign / schedule

work. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with fine dining experience who does not miss

the smallest details but also someone who loves to give our guests those

memorable moments.

  • Manage

day-to-day pastry activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance

and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and

regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.

  • Educate
  • and train team members in compliance with brand standards, service behaviours,

    and governmental regulations. Ensure staff have the tools, training, and

    equipment to carry out their duties.

  • Develop
  • pastry design and concepts for all food outlets, and catering events. Monitor

    competitor and industry trends.

  • Develop,
  • test, and cost out new recipes and menu items for the Pastry Shop / Bakery and

    other F&B outlets. Maintain updated and accurate recipes and costing of all

    products prepared for the Pastry / Bakery, and for all outside orders

    More about you...

  • At least
  • 5 years in a Head pastry chef role. Must have

  • certifications
  • and permits as required by local governmental agencies, including Food

  • Hygiene
  • Level 3 and Health & Safety Certificates.

  • Completion
  • of a degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred.

  • Experience
  • in High level banqueting for +500 pax

  • Experience
  • in Michelin level Dining

  • Excellent
  • command of the English language

  • Ability
  • to understand guests' service needs.

  • Financially
  • astute, Cost awareness

  • Strong
  • communication skills, verbal, listen and writing

  • Innovative,
  • pro-active and reliable

  • Highly
  • Creative in terms of quality / presentation of food

  • Leadership
  • and Team builder
