Loan Book Officer – Structured Finance
City of London / Hybrid

40,000 – £45,000 pa plus benefits.
cer Financial are working alongside a bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Structured Finance Loan Book Officer to work with them on a permanent basis.
The role of the Structured Finance Loan Book Officer is to provide support to the Structured Finance Team in assisting with new loan applications, maintenance and review of the existing loan book, day to day returns, audits and reviews as required by the wider business and / or the Head of Operations.
The Responsibilities of a Structure Finance Loan Book Officer Will Include :
- General portfolio management of the loan book including set – up of new applications / new loans on Aurius (plus variations of loans / repayment), day to day management of the WIP and cashflow for drawdown and repayment and liaison with the underwriters, treasury and deposits (as and when required) to ensure the book is appropriately managed for liquidity purposes
- Monitoring of the day behind reports (SFO1) to ensure the loan book is efficiently managed with maturity dates / interest in line with loan agreements
- Preparation of ad-hoc requests for management information to be prepared as and required (‘deep dive’ reviews, pricing, CBILS / RLS reviews and returns)
- Management of the monthly Direct Debit claims for interest purposes
- Preparation of offer letters / variations and extension Letters with the status to be monitored on the offer letter log
- Preparation of instruction letters for third party professionals
- Monitoring of loan conditions, overdue interest and Call Accounts
- Fee Account reconciliation and periodic returns to Finance
- Preparation of redemption statements
- Complete Post Completion Checklists / Welcome Letters
The Successful Structured Finance Loan Book Officer Will Include :
Experience and working knowledge of managing a property loan book with Banks and / or other lending institutionsKnowledge of / interest in the property marketOffice IT systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)Legal aspects of the property market, specifically taking property as securityExperience of bridging, development, commercial and short term lendingAbility to use various IT tools such as financial and administrative, word processing, spreadsheet and database software
