You will also need eligibility to work in the UK and be willing to apply for DBS disclosure.

WHAT DOES THE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE :

The Teaching Assistant role includes supporting the class teacher and students during lessons, 1 : 1 session, intervention groups and working with other departments. You will be supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, no experience required. You will be supporting students between the ages of 11 – 16

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE AS A GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?

As a teaching assistant, you will be exposed to students of various abilities, you will need to analyse data and build up your ability to raise attainment using skills, lesson plans, numeracy, and literacy tasks to raise attainment. Again, this will build your knowledge of how students are monitored, data is analysed, and attainment is raised, and students are managed more effectively by teachers. As a Graduate teaching assistant, youll learn and implement strategies to support students engage with the curriculum.
