Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the successful delivery of multiple projects of varying scale. Reporting directly to a Project Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop within a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, supporting all stages of project execution from initiation through to delivery and close-out.

The ideal candidate will play a key supporting role across planning, finance tracking, and stakeholder engagement—both internally and externally. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams including Manufacturing / Production and Installations, as well as regular client and supplier interface.

Responsibilities

As part of the team delivering complex, major projects, the Junior Project Manager will :

  • Assist in the end-to-end delivery of projects across various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Support project planning activities including timeline development, task allocation, and resource scheduling.
  • Monitor and report on project finances including budget tracking and variance analysis.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between departments including Sales, Design, Manufacturing, Production, Installation, and Quality Control.
  • Engage with clients and external stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely updates on project status.
  • Prepare documentation such as project plans, meeting minutes, progress reports, and risk registers.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project delivery processes and documentation standards.
  • Attend project and site meetings as required.
  • Occasionally, travel to project sites across the UK with potential overnight stays.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • UK driving licence.
  • Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar planning tools.
  • Previous exposure to construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or installations project environments.
  • Prince2 or APM Qualification.
  • CSCS Certification.
