Job Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a hands-on Systems and Support Engineer at Nera Capital Limited. The role is located in Manchester with the flexibility for some remote work.

This is a pivotal role in which you will support both our development efforts and internal technical operations across multiple technologies. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, passionate about problem-solving and interested in working within both front-end and back-end development.

You will have the opportunity to develop, customise and optimise business applications using Nera’s suite of systems, while also supporting the wider team with day-to-day technical needs, from basic troubleshooting to assisting with the rollout of new system features and managing data-driven tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Technology to provide regular system reports and updates for the in-house team.
• Provide first-line and second-line support for internal systems, applications and hardware.
• Assist colleagues with a range of support tasks from password resets, SharePoint management, laptop set-up and software installation to more complex issues involving integrations and new features.
• Develop and customise applications within Nera's IT system.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Deluge code.
• Assist in front-end development using Vue.js, Bootstrap, and related technologies.
• Perform data imports and exports using Excel and other tools, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across internal systems.
• Support data analytics and reporting activities, including preparing datasets and generating insights for business use.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Nera's in-house system and other relevant technologies.
