Job description

Senior Project Surveyor Peterborough / Remote £51,084 - £53,773 per annum Full Time – 37 Hours per week – Permanent - Peterborough Join Cross Keys Homes (CKH), one of the East of England’s leading providers of affordable housing, as a Senior Project Surveyor. You’ll lead a small team of surveyors, delivering high-quality planned works and stock condition programmes that make a real difference in our communities. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support a team of 4 surveyors, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Oversee delivery of planned programmes—ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Oversee the programme of stock condition surveys – ensuring accurate data is recorded
  • Manage contracts from procurement to completion, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections, snagging, and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and continuous service improvement.
  • Monitor and report on contractor performance using KPIs and data analysis, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation to support project planning and execution.
  • Contribute to long-term asset management planning by identifying future investment needs and informing programme development.
  • Ensure accurate financial control, including valuations, accruals, and cost reporting, in line with CKH’s financial regulations.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Asset Management in strategic planning and service delivery. What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in project and team management within housing or construction.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and report writing.
  • Ability to manage budgets, specifications, and contractor performance.
  • HNC in Building Studies (or equivalent) or relevant experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
