THE ROLE

Based in Edinburgh, the Video Editor & Motion Content Lead will play a central role in shaping how the brand behaves in motion across campaigns, social, digital, and cultural moments.

This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, editing, and content creation. You will be responsible for translating campaign worlds into emotionally resonant motion content across all touchpoints, while helping define a recognisable motion language for the brand.

We are looking for someone with strong creative instincts, refined visual taste, and a deep understanding of how luxury brands can move fluently across modern platforms without compromising distinction or integrity.

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position based in either Edinburgh. We are currently operating a hybrid working approach with a minimum of 3 fixed days required each week working from our beautiful Townhouse in Edinburgh City Centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Editing & Motion Direction

• Edit campaign films, brand films, launch content, and mixed-media motion projects from brief through to final delivery
• Create platform-native edits across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, paid media, and digital channels, with a strong understanding of how storytelling and pacing shift across formats
• Translate campaign footage into elevated social and paid executions that feel culturally aware without becoming trend-led
• Develop a coherent motion language across the brand, including rhythm, pacing, sound, transitions, typography and emotional tone
• Lead colour correction and grading to maintain a consistent, premium visual standard across all motion outputs
• Explore thoughtful approaches to sound design, audio texture, and music selection as part of the storytelling process

Content Creation & Self-Shoot

• Capture self-shot video and stills content for social, product storytelling, behind-the-scenes moments, studio shoots, events, and artisan craft documentation
• Bring a strong instinct for framing, composition, light, and atmosphere, understanding the difference between documentation and image-making
• Create elevated day-to-day motion content that extends and reinforces broader campaign worlds and brand direction
• Work fluidly across planned creative shoots and more spontaneous capture moments

Social & Digital Storytelling

• Understand the nuances of storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, paid social, and digital environments
• Stay attuned to shifts in visual culture, platform behaviour, and audience expectations, translating them into executions that feel relevant and on-brand
• Collaborate closely with Brand, Social and Marketing teams to ensure motion assets are creatively strong while meeting channel and performance needs
• Build adaptable motion systems and templates that allow the brand to scale content output without sacrificing quality or consistency

Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with the Art Director and wider Creative team to translate creative direction into considered motion outputs with a high level of finish
• Contribute ideas and creative thinking around how motion can strengthen campaigns, launches, storytelling, and brand moments
• Present work confidently, articulating creative decisions and contributing to review conversations
• Maintain a consistently high creative standard across all motion outputs, from major campaign moments through to everyday brand communications

Workflow & Organisation

• Manage multiple concurrent projects, timelines, and priorities across campaign and BAU activity
• Maintain organised project files, edit timelines, and motion asset libraries
• Oversee final formatting, exports, and delivery across channels and specifications

ABOUT YOU

Experience & Portfolio

• 5+ years’ experience in video editing and content creation within fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or culturally-led brands/agencies
• A portfolio demonstrating strong visual taste and storytelling across campaign films, social content, paid media, and mixed-media edits
• Experience creating both longer-form brand storytelling and short-form platform-native content
• Demonstrable self-shoot work across video and stills with a strong eye for composition, atmosphere, and narrative

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Strong colour grading and correction skills; DaVinci Resolve experience a plus
• Confidence working with motion graphics and typography in motion
• Comfortable shooting across mirrorless, DSLR, iPhone, and mixed-media formats
• Understanding of sound design and audio editing workflows

Creative Sensibility

• Strong understanding of brand and visual identity, with the ability to distinguish between premium and true luxury expression
• Excellent instinct for pacing, emotional storytelling, and visual rhythm
• An appreciation for craft, detail, texture, and human storytelling
• A culturally aware point of view and strong visual references across fashion, design, film, photography, and digital culture
