- To oversee the day-to-day farm operations, ensuring the highest levels of animal health and welfare are maintained to optimise egg production
- To lead and manage a team, driving excellence and implementing a high-performing, collaborative culture
- To ensure compliance with industry regulations, maintain high biosecurity measures across the farm
- To maintain accurate production records and routine ordering of feed
- To monitor egg production, quality and layer performance measures
- To monitor and manage the farm financial records, reporting on performance and profitabilitySkills you will need : Essential :
- Previous experience in UK poultry farm management and operations
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of layer production
- Proven experience of successfully managing staff and leading a team
- Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail
- Practical knowledge of biosecurity measures and industry regulations for large poultry units
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Resilient and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement
- A strong and capable work ethic
