IBM Z Series Security Administrator - Hybrid - Swindon - INSIDE IR35 - 6 month contract My client, a global consultancy are looking for a a Mainframe Security expert with deep RACF knowledge and a passion for protecting critical systems. Were looking for a Mainframe Security Specialist to join a high-performing team and take ownership of securing their IBM Z Series environment. Key Responsibilities : Security Management : Lead the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures across the IBM Z Series environment. RACF Administration : Configure, manage, and enhance RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) for robust access control and data protection. Compliance : Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and internal governance policies. Monitoring & Auditing : Proactively monitor system activity, audit logs, and conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities. Incident Response : Act as a front-line responder for security breachesinvestigating incidents and applying corrective measures swiftly. Collaboration : Work closely with infrastructure, applications, and architecture teams to embed security into every aspect of the mainframe. Documentation : Maintain comprehensive security documentation, procedures, and change records. What Were Looking For : Strong experience in RACF administration and IBM Z Series mainframe security Deep knowledge of z / OS security features, standards, and best practices Proven track record in security auditing and ensuring regulatory compliance Client-facing with excellent communication skills Confident, assertive, and able to negotiate effectively in cross-functional environments A proactive team player who thrives in collaborative settings Relevant certifications such as CISSP, IBM Certified Specialist, or similar are highly desirable If this role is of interest, please apply ASAP with a copy of your most recent CV.
