Job Description
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll for staff.
- Ensuring accurate and timely submissions of payroll to HMRC.
- Handling payroll queries and resolving them effectively.
- Maintaining accurate records of staff leave and sickness absence.
- Assisting with year-end processes such as P60 distribution.
- Performing routine audits of payroll procedures and data.
- Adhering to company policies and regulations at all times.
- Working closely with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure smooth operations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Assistant should have :
- A good understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
- An ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and payroll software.
- A team player attitude with excellent communication skills.
