Job description

Registered Building Control SurveyorWe are seeking a Registered Building Control Surveyor to join our highly organised team in East Sussex. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for advising the public on Building Regulations and other related legislation.About the RoleAdvise the public on the requirements of Building Regulations and other related legislation.Process complex applications under Building Regulations, liaise with and offer guidance to applicants and draft determinations.Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, engaging specialist colleagues when required.Dangerous structure call outs.RequirementsSignificant experience in building control (Fire and structures)Significant stakeholder liaison experienceComprehensive knowledge of the Building Regulations in respect of all projects up to and including those which are large complexExperience of working under pressure to deliver results within challenging timeframes with limited resourcesGood customer relations - Providing specialist-planning advice to clientsWorking within a team environmentExperience in assisting and negotiating with design teams and major stakeholders to achieve compliance with the BR and associated legislationSalary and DurationThe rate of pay will be around £55-60 p / h.
