Job descriptionindividuals will be invited in to carry out 8 different types of MIG welds from Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead. Tests between 6 to 8mm. 2mm Fillet weld Vertical-up(PF) Position. 6mm Fillet weld Overhead(PD) Position. 6mm Fillet weld Vertical-up(PF) Position. 2mm Butt weld Overhead(PE) Position. 2mm Butt weld Vertical-up(PF) Position 6mm Butt weld Overhead(PE) Position. 6mm Butt weld Vertical-up(PF) Position. 1.6 Lap fillet weld
We are currently looking for Welders with experience in MIG Welding, ideally on Steel but it is not essential.
The role is based in Milton Keynes at Wolverton Rail Depot (MK12 5NT) on a 6 Month Rolling contract carrying out works or rail equipment or vehicles
- Pay rate : £28ph Umbrella (£20.84 PAYE) during codings, £30ph Umbrella (£22.33 PAYE )afterwards
- Up to 50 hours per week
- Working times from 6am Monday to Friday and individuals can work between a 10 and 12 hour shift.
To be considered for this role you must hold a minimum level 2 or equivalent in welding, those without a level 2 can be considered but would attain a lower rate than those stated above.

The weld test will be carried out at the depot.
If successful you must be able to pass a Medical D&A test,
