Job summary

Wouldyou like to help us shape Islington's environment to improve the health andwellbeing of our residents?

Main duties of the job

Weare looking for a new Assistant Strategist to help us deliver healthierenvironments in the borough. The role will include work on healthy weight,food, physical activity and the built environment.

Inthis varied role you will be undertaking a wide range of tasks, including :

  • managing contracts for important public health services
  • reviewing best practice literature
  • delivering evidence-based projects
  • helping to deliver our department's strategic objectives

Youwill need collaborate closely with colleagues within and beyond the council todeliver improvements to the health and wellbeing of our residents.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will be an essential member of the HealthyEnvironments, Healthy Ageing and Long Term Conditions team within the PublicHealth department. This post has a specific focus on the Healthy Environmentspart of the team, leading and supporting work in a range of areas includinghealthy weight, food, physical activity and the built environment.

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and / or training.
