Consultant Psychiatrist

Position : Consultant Psychiatrist

Location : Newbury

Salary : up to £160,000 Pro Rata (dependent on experience) plus paid benefits and enhancements

Hours : Part Time

Contract : Permanent

MediTalent is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our client within their bespoke private hospital based in Newbury.

Our client provides exceptional mental health services, accepting admissions 24 / 7, catering to both local NHS patients and referrals from across the UK.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your expertise will help treat patients with various mental health conditions, including :

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Personality Disorders

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with psychologists, nurses, and social workers to craft and execute tailored treatment plans. The hospital operates a non-residential medical on-call rota, and this role includes participation in the second on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide expert psychiatric care and support to patients.
  • Diagnose and manage complex mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
  • Ensure high standards of patient safety and care.

    • Requirements :

  • Fully qualified Medical Doctor (MD).
  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) .
  • Extensive experience in psychiatry, with knowledge of mental health complexities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
