Having posted over 15% growth for the last financial year we are looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our Upstream team to support our continued growth.

Our diverse portfolio encompasses the full spectrum of risk profiles across the Upstream and Midstream sectors of the oil and gas supply chain, including Onshore / Offshore E&P Operators, Onshore / Offshore Service Contractors and Midstream Operators and Service Contractors.

We pride ourselves on providing market leading advisory services across all aspects of an Energy Package insurance product, from single coverage policies to multifaceted package placements which include Physical Damage, Control of Well, Time Element (BI, CBI, LOPI, Loss of Hire) and associated Third Party Liability coverages to clients of all sizes, from single region operators, through to multinational and vertically integrated companies.

With our American heritage, the backbone of Lockton Global Energy’s business remains US domiciled, but we’re at a very exciting stage in our business evolution, with ambitious plans to further expand our service offering in targeted areas including Latin America, Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Account Executive Role – What is involved?

As an Account Executive your primary role is to build and maintain excellent working relationships with our clients to ensure that we are providing the best service for all of their insurance needs. This will also include fostering close working relationships with our Brokers and wordings and claims experts.

You will be responsible for an allocated portfolio of existing clients, supporting their ongoing insurance needs and renewal process. This will include strategy meetings with clients and our expert Brokers, preparing market submissions, analysing renewal information, looking for opportunities to provide enhanced or additional services and tracking client policies through the renewal process.  In addition, coordinating RFP’s and engaging with the wider team to drive new business initiatives across the business.

As a Global company there will be plenty of opportunity for cross class exposure across all Energy specialisms and the wider business lines we operate in.  What is most important to us is your ability to understand what our clients need and provide a bespoke service to ensure these are met in the best possible way.

What are the typical responsibilities as an Account Executive?

  • Building strong partnerships with your allocated portfolio of clients
  • Coordinating client review meetings and renewal strategy
  • Analyse renewal information to prepare market submissions
  • Proactively track client renewal periods, premium payments and any losses
  • Working with the broader team to coordinate RFP / new business activity
  • Prepare policy documentation including working with our Energy wordings expert
  • Support the claims team on any major losses

What skills and experience would we like you to have?

  • As an Account Executive in the Oil and Gas Energy team it would be desirable for you to have experience of working on Energy business from a Broking, Underwriting or wider Insurance background
  • Experience of preparing market submissions and policy documentation will be beneficial
  • Due to the nature of the role you will need to be organized, proficient in using Microsoft office and be comfortable communicating with a wide range of clients and colleagues
  • Desire to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team in a growing organisation
