Senior Power Electronics Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer for an opportunity based in Wales.

This role will be within an established team working within the Motor Control and Drive Design department, where the main objectives are to design, create and improve new drives and controllers for the industrial automation markets.

The role responsibilities will include :

• Creating new designs
• Designing critical power components
• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits and systems for motor drives
• Product documentation and product design reviews
• Working to agreed time-scales, guiding and supporting other engineers

The ideal candidate will have degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering with a minimum of 3 years industry experience and must have a full understanding of power electronic devices, topologies and control systems. Ideally someone who is familiar with simulation tools, modelling, test and application of high power semiconductor and passive components. Similar experience of thermal, mechanical and EMC for motor drives, with clear communication skills and willingness to work with a global team. You must be well versed in AC-DC and AC-AC converters.
