As the Deputy Ward Manager your key responsibilities include :
The facilitation, promotion and supervision of education, clinical practices and auditThe management of the clinical area in the absence of the managerOverseeing the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care within agreed parameters, and have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provisionIdentifying and contributing to others training needsEnsuring the promotion of issues of equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislationEnsuring effective communication pathways existOperational Lead with Ward Manager with regards to the provision of inpatient careTo facilitate and support the group programme for Service UsersThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role :
Clinical supervision experience essentialEvidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadershipGood computer skillsExperience in Acute Mental HealthAt Least 18 months, or equivalent post registration experience preferredMentorship desirable however training could be providedThe successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary of £41,475 – £44,648 per annum.
