Position : Property Credit Controller

Location : Manchester / Hybrid

Salary : £25, – £27,

Consultant : Sarah Duffy

Our client a leading property management firm in the heart of Manchester. We pride ourselves on providing top-tier service to our clients and maintaining strong, positive relationships. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Property Credit Controller to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Credit Control Management : Efficiently manage and oversee the credit control process for our diverse property portfolio.
  • Debt Recovery : Proactively chase overdue payments and handle all aspects of debt recovery, including sending reminders, negotiating repayment plans, and initiating legal action if necessary.
  • Client Communication : Maintain excellent communication with tenants and landlords, addressing and resolving any payment issues promptly and professionally.
  • Account Reconciliation : Perform regular reconciliation of client accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on debtors, aged debt analysis, and collection performance to senior management.
  • Process Improvement : Identify and implement improvements to the credit control process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control, preferably within the property sector.
  • Education : Relevant finance or accounting qualifications are advantageous.
  • Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Personal Attributes : Self-motivated with a proactive approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with a collaborative mindset.
