Salary : £150 - £234 Per day

Specific Role : Y7 transition teacher job in a SEMH school

Job Description

Job Duties :

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and other professionals
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students' holistic development

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in teaching students with SEN, particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Understanding of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

    • Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching students with SEN
  • Experience working in a similar role within a school setting

    • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Strong understanding of different learning styles and effective teaching strategies for students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN teaching or related field
  • Experience in supporting students with SEMH needs

    • Working Conditions :

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Work primarily within a school environment, with some off-site meetings and training sessions

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
