About the role
Join our Production team in our Eastbourne Manufacturing Centre, where you’ll lead shift operations, guiding your team to success by identifying development needs and ensuring efficient, high-quality production in a world-class facility.
Motivate and mentor staff, conducting appraisals, creating Personal Development Plans (PDPs), and 1 : 1s with production teams.Work alongside Production Coaches to regularly assess and identify knowledge gaps and training needs for continuous team growth.Maintain accurate records of all performance and development processes for team members.Conduct return-to-work interviews, manage timesheets, and communicate overtime as directed by the Production Managers.Collaborate with Production Managers and Planners to coordinate the manufacture of assemblies and finished goods, achieving output targets and KPIs.Ensure smooth handovers between shifts, addressing housekeeping or Health and Safety issues to Production Team Leaders during changeovers.Lead by example, encouraging open communication across departments to improve working practices.Work with Manufacturing and Electronic Test Engineers to quickly resolve any delays in production.Host meetings at the shift information share board, keeping everyone on track with priorities and goals.Help maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure ongoing certification with ISO9001 and ISO14001.Play a key role in driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.Please note the working hours for this role are 06 : 15 - 14 : 15 Monday - Friday.

What are we looking for?
Previous leadership experience, ideally within Production or Manufacturing environment.Relevant Manufacturing or Production experience, utilising Lean tools and techniques.The right attitude is more important to us than your skills or experience.
