We are looking for a Family Support Worker to work with our children and families.  The role of Family Support Worker is to work in partnership with families, parents, carers and children in our school community in a non-judgemental way, empowering them to access support services and educational opportunities, overcoming barriers to learning and participation and impacting positively on outcomes for children.

The role will also have some admin responsibilities, working closely with the office team to enable the efficient running of certain administrative procedures, managing attendance procedures and providing high quality front of house service to parents / carers and visitors, either face to face or other forms of communication.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated Family Support Worker / Admin Assistant.  The role will be varied and exciting, with opportunities and challenges to support all abilities and ages on key focused activities that will have a valuable impact on their achievements.

  • The ability to react clearly and quickly to children’s and families’ needs
  • Good communication skills
  • As the role is a challenging and rewarding one, applicants must have good communication skills and the ability to overcome communication barriers with children and families in order to meet the demands of the role.  The Family Support Worker’s contribution to the school will help to improve the life chances for Saltersgate children.
