Litigation Lawyer – 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Location : London (Local Governmenet)

Team : Litigation and Public Law Team

Contract : 2 Years, Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic Litigation and Public Law Team on a two-year fixed term contract. You will provide legal advice and representation in housing cases, focusing on complex possession matters, Access and Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions, and Housing Judicial Review.

You will manage a challenging caseload within a supportive environment, working alongside Lawyers, Senior Lawyers, a Principal Lawyer, and supported by legal officers and paralegal staff.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice, advocacy, and support to clients in one or more of the following areas :
Complex possession
Homelessness
Anti-social behaviour
Injunction work
Conduct litigation (including advocacy) in assigned areas, as directed by the Senior Lawyer, Principal Lawyer, or Assistant Director (Litigation).
Undertake advocacy in County Court as required.

About You

Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience .

Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following :

Complex possession

Judicial Review

Injunction work

Willing and able to undertake advocacy in County Court.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to manage a demanding caseload and work collaboratively within a team.
