Hays Senior Finance is exclusively partnering with a 16m turnover family owned business based on the outskirts of Devizies.
The role
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the finance department (team of 4)
- Develop and implement finance procedures to meet business and finance department needs
- Daily management of Accounting IT system providing support throughout the business
Details
Lead the company's accounting function with the support of the finance team including :
Accurate production of monthly consolidated management accountsCompletion of balance sheet reconciliations at month endContinually maintain inter company accountsDaily bank reconciliations for the companies of the groupUltimate responsibility for the Accounting IT system including fault logging and resolution, training and reporting.Ensure the company's finance systems and processes are compliant, robust and support current activities and future growth.Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management & policiesUltimate responsibility and daily management of Invoice Financing facilityEnsure budgeting processes are implemented and reviewed.Present annual accounts to investors / AuditorsEnsure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are metManage company policies and processes regarding capital requirements, debt, tax, equity, disposals and acquisitionsMain point of contact for bank and auditorsSkills needed
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships with people at all levelsMethodical approach with attention to detailPrior experience and working knowledge of an accounts system (Access, SAP, SAGE etc)Excellent level of numeracy and literacyExcellent knowledge and experience of MS Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and WordFlexible approach to working
