Health & Safety Advisor - Industrial Commercial Construction

One of Europe’s leading building contractors has an exceptional opportunity to work on a high profile commercial construction project in Derbyshire. The project is currently in delivery phase and they are looking to source a Safety Advisor on site to work with an established safety team. The role will report to a Safety Manager who is collaborative and passionate about safety and people. This employer has an impressive portfolio of completed and ongoing work on landmark projects throughout Europe with permanent work available not just for this project.

Responsibilities to include :

  • Carrying out site inspections / audits
  • Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are being adhered to
  • Issuing H&S Templates to the internal team
  • Monitor and report on site Accidents and incidents and report through internal procedures
  • Support and advise on HSE Management and compliance
  • Work with a team to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Promote a proactive HSE approach / attitude among employees and site staff

Experience Required :

  • Degree Qualified preferably in safety or related
  • Previous Construction Project experience
  • Direct experience of working on site or supporting project related Health & Safety
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Commercial Awareness
  • I.T. literate
  • Ability to write clear concise reports
  • Experienced Safety Advisor not entry level
