Job description
Amaris Consulting is looking for a Programme Manager, CP R&D IT to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will lead a major transformation initiative to decommission a complex legacy system, coordinating across multiple squads to ensure seamless migration, system continuity, and minimal disruption to users.
Your responsibilities :
- Provide end-to-end programme leadership, including planning, delivery, and governance of the legacy decommissioning programme, ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives.
- Map and manage complex inter-system dependencies, developing and maintaining a delivery roadmap for staged decommissioning without impacting business continuity.
- Coordinate technical activities to ensure new capabilities (APIs, data models, mastering systems, etc.) are developed and deployed on time to replace and retire legacy components.
- Collaborate with engineering squads, product teams, and business stakeholders to align delivery plans, resolve conflicts, and manage expectations.
- Support the platform lead in creating and executing robust onboarding and communications plans to transition teams onto new systems effectively.
- Identify, track, and mitigate delivery and continuity risks across multiple teams and project phases.
- Provide regular governance and reporting, highlighting progress, risks, and key decision points.
Your profile :
Proven experience leading complex IT transformation or decommissioning programmes with multiple delivery teams.Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, data flows, APIs, and legacy-to-modern system transitions.Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.Skilled in dependency management across distributed systems and teams.Experience creating phased implementation plans to support non-disruptive change.Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and tools, such as Scaled Agile, Scrum of Scrums, Big Room Planning, JIRA, and Confluence.Experience in Life Sciences and / or Research and Development environments is preferable, but not essential.Why choose us?
