Overview of role

This is a parttime role 1518 teaching periods / week) for a nativelevel German speaker. This role entails :

  • the teaching periods
  • support to students / class cover
  • the necessary time for PPA corrections collaborative work and meetings

    • Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Teach German to all Secondary levels immersion approach
  • Organise and collaborate on MFL department events e.g Languages Day
  • Prepare coordinate and plan curriculum with the team
  • Assess students formatively and summatively against criteria of the French curriculum and English International program
  • Use of technology in the lessons
  • Ability to create and deliver challenging & engaging activities for students with a provision for differentiation
  • Organise and manage classroom which promotes studentcentred learning
  • Provide meaningful assignments and constructive feedback to students
  • Model and foster an environment that cultivates innovative mindset and critical thinking
  • Incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom
  • Maintain uptodate records of assessment attendance planning reports and communication with families
  • Participate in parentsteachers meetings and class meetings

  • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
  • Nativelevel German speaker with solid linguistic and cultural knowledge

  • A passion for education and making a difference
  • Willingness to help students reach their potential
  • Familiarity with iPad apps for teaching and learning

    Lyce International de Londres Winston Churchill is an independent school in Wembley offering in the Secondary section two tracks : the French curriculum and the English International Program leading to the IB Diploma programme in Y12 and Y13.
