Yorkshire Community Healthcare are looking for outgoing and strong willed Support Workers in the WF17 area of Batley.

This specific role involves supporting a lady in her mid 20s, who has an acquired brain injury, a personality disorder, and who can often display challenging behaviour.

Job Specifics

You would be required to prompt and assist her with daily living tasks i.e., going out on social visits, prompting personal care and domestic tasks and also encouraging her to live a more independent life. This role mainly entails companionship visits and in depth observation of behaviour.

Shift Pattern

Day shift : 9am-7pm

Waking night : 7pm-Midnight

Sleep-in Shift : Midnight- 9am

36hrs p / w available

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as Moving and handling
• At least 6-months of UK based care experience
• Knowledge of complex care is desired
• Are willing to do alternative weekends or 1 weekend out of 4
• All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check

The client can often display challenging behaviour so having the ability to manage challenging situations would be essential in this role.
